NGC 2425 (also OCL 599) is a magnitude +12.8 open star cluster located 11,600 light-years away in the constellation Puppis.
In the sky it can be found roughly between Messier 46 and Messier 47.
The age of the cluster is estimated as 2.5 ±0.5 billion years.

The cluster was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 8th March 1793.

Right Ascension   07h 38m 17.6s, Declination -14° 52 40"
