NGC 3571 (also NGC 3544, ESO 570 -11, MCG-3-29-1, and PGC 34028) is a magnitude +12.2 barred spiral galaxy located 172 million light-years away in the constellation Crater.
In the sky it can be found roughly 19' north-west of the star Psi Crater.

The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 8th March 1790.
The galaxy was rediscovered by Ormond Stone in January 1886 and relisted as NGC 3544.
