NGC 2354 (also OCL 639 and ESO 492-SC6) is a magnitude +6.5 open cluster located 13,324 light-years away in the constellation Canis Major.

The cluster was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Datchet, Berkshire, on the on the 6th March 1785.

About 15 member stars are visible through binoculars
