NGC 3279 (also IC 622, IRAS 10320 +1127, MCG 2-27-27 and PGC 31302) is a magnitude +13.4 spiral galaxy located 64 million light-years away in the constellation Leo.

The galaxy was discovered by American astronomer David Peck Todd using the 66.04 cm (26 inch) f/15 Clark refractor of the U.S. Naval Observatory, Washington D.C., on the 5th March 1878.
The galaxy was rediscovered by Swift in January 1890 and relisted as IC 622

Right Ascension  10h 34m 42.6s, Declination 11° 11' 49"
