NGC 2590 (also IC 507, UGC 4392 , MCG 0-22-10 and PGC 23616) is a magnitude +13.1 barred spiral galaxy located 230 million light-years away in the constellation Hydra.

The spiral was discovered by French astronomer Edouard Jean-Marie Stephan using a 80.01 cm (31.5 inch) reflector at the Marseille Observatory on the 26th February 1878.
The spiral was rediscovered by Lewis Swift in February 1888 and relisted as IC 507.

Right Ascension  08h 25m 01.9s, Declination Dec -00° 35' 30"
