NGC 2885 (also IC 538) is a magnitude +13.9 spiral galaxy located 363 million light-years away in the constellation Leo.

The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 24th February 1827.
The galaxy was rediscovered in March 1890 by French astronomer Guillaume Bigourdan and relisted as IC 538.

Right Ascension  09h 27m 18.4s, Declination Dec +23° 01' 12"
