NGC 2472 (also MCG 10-12-39, GWT 287.19 and PGC 22364) is a magnitude +15.3 spiral galaxy located 265 million light-years away in the constellation Lynx.
The galaxy was discovered by Irish astronomer William Parsons using a 182.88 cm (72 inch) speculum reflector at Birr Castle on the 20th February 1851.
