NGC 1708 is a magnitude +11.0 open cluster located 1957 light-years away in the constellation Camelopardalis.
The cluster is about 575 million year old.

The cluster was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 16th February 1831. 

Right Ascension 05h 03m 27.0s, Declination +52° 50' 00"
