NGC 2924 (also MCG -3-25-8, VV 808, NPM1G -16.0288 and PGC 27253) is a magnitude +12.3 elliptical galaxy located 199 million light-years away in the constellation Hydra.

The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflecting telescope at the Cape of Good Hope on the 12th February 1836. 

Right Ascension 09h 35m 10.9s, Declination -16° 23' 53"
