NGC 2194 (also OCL 495, Collinder 87 and Melotte 43) is a magnitude +8.5 open cluster located 12,332 light years away in the constellation Orion.
Most of the ~100 stars in the cluster are light blue in colour, but many bright, yellow stars are also present.

The cluster was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflecting telescope at Datchet, Berkshire, on the 11th February 1784. 

Right Ascension 06h 13m 45.9s, Declination +12° 48' 24"
