NGC 1638 (also UGC 3133, MCG 0-12-69 or GWT 393.68 and PGC 15824) is a magnitude +12.0 lenticular galaxy located 145.79 million light-years away in the constellation Eridanus.

The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflecting telescope at Clayhall Farm House in Old Windsor on the 1st February 1786. 

Right Ascension 04h 41m 36.4s, Declination -01° 48' 30"
