NGC 2920 (also ESO 565-15, IRAS09318-2038 and PGC 27197) is a magnitude +13.0 spiral galaxy located 152 million light-years away in the constellation Hydra.
The galaxy was discovered by English astronomer John Herschel at the Cape of Good Hope using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflecting telescope on the 1st February 1837.
