Bobby Wunungmurra, a traditional custodian of the sinkhole near the Koolatong River in Arnhem Land, about 500km east of Darwin, hopes scientists and traditional owners can work together to create a complete history.

OConnell (1965) mentions a handful of crater candidates in Australia that are not listed above, including a crater 'seen on an Aboriginal reserve on Koolatong River near Blue Mud Bay' (13° 10' S, 135° 40' E, ibid:16).

Pilot Reports Crater Of Meteorite

DARWIN, Saturday.
A pilot, Captain Harry Moss, believes he has found a hitherto unknown meteorite crater in an un-inhabited stretch of country on the edge of Arnhem Land.
It is in the Koolatong River area, near Blue Mud Bay, 40 miles west of the Arnhem Land coast.
