NGC 1963 (also ESO 363-SC5) is a open star cluster of about 20 stars of 8th - 11th magnitude, located in the constellation Columba.
NGC 1963 can be found less than three degrees southwest of Alpha Columbae.

The cluster was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) speculum reflector telescope at Feldhausen, Claremont, Cape Town, on the 24th December 1835.
The cluster is "arranged pretty exactly in a figure of three" according to the notes of John Herschel.
