NGC 894 is a star forming region in the northwestern arm of the face-on spiral galaxy NGC 895, located 105 million light-years away in the constellation Cetus.

NGC 894 was discovered by Irish astronomer R. J. Mitchell, assistant to William Parsons, 3rd Earl of Rosse, using a 182.88 cm (72 inch) speculum reflector at Birr Castle on the 28th November 1856. 

Right Ascension 02h 21m 34.5s, Declination -05° 30' 35"
