NGC 2253 is a missing object located in the constellation Camelopardalis,
The object was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough on the 1st November 1788.
Right Ascension 06h 43d 42s, Declination +65° 12' 22"
Subsequent observations show no observable astronomical object at this position.
