NGC 434 (also PGC 4325, ESO 113-23 and AM 0110-583) is a magnitude +12.0 barred spiral galaxy located about 226 million light years away in the constellation Tucana.  Nearby is the interacting galaxy NGC 434A.

The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflecting telescope at Feldhausen, Claremont, Cape Town on the 28th October 1834. 

Right Ascension 01h 12m 14.3s, Declination -58° 14' 50"
