Wahi describes the meteorite Chandakapur in the following terms: "The main portion is an 'intermediate chondrite' of fairly even composition throughout. It contains a fragment which, in contrast, is studded with chrondules and also with small, angular fragments of different kinds; black, dense ones and light grey or greyish-white ones being the most conspicuous.

The Chandakapur (L5) meteorite fell in Maharashtra, India, on the 6th June, 1838.
A total mass of 8.8 kg was recovered.

20° 16'N, 76° 1'E
