When the Durala stone fell in 1815 in the Punjab, India, the people were terrified, and the Rajah, viewing the event as an evil omen, gave an Englishman permission to take it away.

The Durala (L6) meteorite fell in Punjab, India, on the 18th February, 1815.
A total mass of 13.2 kg was recovered.

30° 18'N, 76° 38'E
