Record of the Judesegeri meteorite of 16th Feburary, 1876.

The meteorite was sent to the Indian Museum by the chief commissioner of Mysore. It fell on the bed of the tank of Judesegeri village in the Chittanhalli hobli of the Kadaba Taluk, on the evening of the 16th February, 1876.

Tumkur district, Mysore, India.
Fell 1876, Feb. 16, evening.
Synonym : Mysore.
Stone. Spherical chondrite.
Approx. recovered weight: 0.7 kg
After appearance of luminous meteor and detonations, a stone fell in the bed of the tank of Judesegeri village; it was broken up and only fragments weighing about 1| lb. were preserved (H. B. Medlicott, Proc. Asiatic Soc. Bengal, 1876, p. 221). 300 grams in Calcutta (Mus. Geol. Surv. India).

The Judesegeri (H6) meteorite fell in Karnataka, India, on the 16th February, 1876.
A total mass of 680 g was recovered.
