Messier 24 (also M24, Sagittarius Star Cloud and IC 4715) is a magnitude +4.6  star cluster located 10,000 light-years away in the constellation Scutum.

The cluster was discovered by French astronomer Charles Messier on the 20th June 1764. 

Right Ascension 18h 17m 00s, Declination -18° 29' 00"
