R Camelopardalis, or R Cam, (HD 127226) is a carbon M-type red giant, near the North Celestial Pole, in the constellation Camelopardalis.
R Camelopardalis is approximately 1000(?) light years from Earth. It is classified as a semiregular variable star and its brightness varies from magnitude +7.65 to +14.57 with a period of 270.22 days.
