Magnitude: 10.3 V
Distance to Earth: 0.944 AU
Distance to Sun: 1.960 AU

Asteroid (270) Anahita is at Opposition in the constellation Pisces on the 14th September 2014

Magnitude: 10.1
Distance to Earth; 0.873 AU
Distance to Sun: 1.877 AU

The asteroid will pass less than 1' from magnitude +14.1 asteroid (1641) Tana  (the pink dot in image) at about ~19:30 UT, 14th September 2014.  Asteroid (1641) Tana is 1.7221 AU from the Earth; over twice the distance of asteroid (270) Anahita

Asteroid (270) Anahita is a stony S-type Main belt asteroid.
It was discovered by C. H. F. Peters on October 8, 1887 in Clinton, New York.
It was named after the Avestan divinity Aredvi Sura Anahita.
