It would seem that a lot of meteorites falling in the afternoon ... and so it was for this meteorite. Around 15:00 a meteorite "came" to the Grzempy village (renamed Grzepy), near Poznan. It was probably on September 3, 1910 (Saturday). Witness to this event was a farmer Bydolek, who saw the fireball. It cut off some branches of a nearby tree and stuck a box. At the same time he heard the sharp, thunderlike rumbling. At the place of the fall a peasant rozkopal took a fist-sized stone with a weight of 690 g, which was still so hot that it was impossible to keep it in his hand. The specimen was covered with a black crust and it was obvious that disintegrated into pieces, whether in the atmosphere or even when hitting a tree is not known. The remaining debris was not found.
