Sabetmahet 27°26' N, 82°5' E near Balrampur, Gonda district, Uttar Pradesh, India
Fall 1855, August 16, evening
Stone. Chondrite.
Approx. recovered weight: 1 .3 kg
A stone of about 2.751b (1.3kg) fell and was made an object of worship; only about 3g were secured, H.B. Medlicott(1885).

When the Sabetmahet chondrite fell in 1855 in the Gonda district, United Provinces, India, the natives decked the stone, estimated to weigh over 2 pounds, with flowers and burned sandalwood to it. They only left 3 grams for scientific investigation

The Sabetmahet (H5) meteorite fell in Uttar Pradesh, India, on the 16th August, 1855.
A total mass of 1250 g was recovered.
