Title: The 1856 meteorite fall in Oviedo (Spain): An updating
Authors: J. Ordaz , C. Martín Escorza y L. Alcalá

Data about the fall of a stony meteorite in the city of Oviedo (Asturias, Spain) in 5t h August 1856, are compiled and updated. The circumstances of the fall, as well as the material collected and the present distribution of the catalogued pieces that are conserved in the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales (Madrid) and the Musée National d'Histoire Naturelle (París), are described. Likewise, the main physical, chemical, mineralogical and textural characteristics of this meteorite chondrite, type H5, corresponding to a breccia regolith are summed up; and its classification discussed

The Oviedo (H5) meteorite fell in Asturias, Spain, on the 5th August, 1856.
A total mass of 205 g was recovered.
