Allen, in conjunction with one of his relatives, Dirk Ross, brought the stone to the University of Tokyo in Japan for classification. The meteorite was classified by Dr. Kentaro Kanedo, stone chondrite H5, shock factor of 2 and a weathering grade of 3.
