An explosion on the sun on August 16 ejected a coronal mass ejection (CME) towards the Earth.
The CME could spark a geomagnetic storm when it arrives, probably on August 18th.
Watch out for auroras tomorrow..

AURORA ALERT:
A solar wind stream is causing G2 - moderate geomagnetic storms (K-index of 6). Northern sky watchers should be on the lookout for auroras tonight.
