Comet C/2008 S3 (Boattini) was discovered on he 29th September, 2008, by A. Boattini (Mt Lemmon Survey).
The preliminary orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage on the 4th April, 2011, at a distance of 3.1 AU from the Sun.
