Giovanni Celoria (29 January 1842, Casale Monferrato - 17 August 1920, Milan) was an Italian astronomer and politician.
After graduating from the University of Turin in September 1863 he began working at the Brera astronomical observatory in Milan, which was directed at the time by Giovanni Virginio Schiaparelli. In the spring of 1865, he went to Berlin and Bonn, returning to Milan in 1866.
In 1900 he became director of the Brera Observatory, and held the position until 1917. He was professor of geodesy at the Politecnico di Milano and from 1902 was President of the Italian Geodetic Commission.
Celoria was also a member of the Lincei Academy (1891) and president of the Italian Society of Natural Sciences and of the Lombard Institute of Science and Letters. From 1909 until his death he was appointed as a Senator of Italy.
