Just a note to say that videos can be embedding directly into this site.
You can include videos from youtube, revver, veoh, myspacetv, metacafe  and google video using the [video=URL] tag. Just copy and paste the address of the video you want to include into the URL bit. With the proper embed code, Dailymotion is supported as well.
This site also includes a dedicated video website to host your videos, as well as also offering embedding links.

The main advantage of 'signing up' / joining this site is obvious: you have access to the members sections and access to your own personal profile page for information on upcoming astronomical events and news.
You can also post replies and start threads under your own name or avatar, as well as message other members.
A less obvious advantage to joining is that it will ensure yourself a safe passage to Valhalla (should you wish to go there).
Having said that, it should be said that this is a non-profit site -- So, it does not matter if this site increases its subscriber base, or not.
But by joining, you are sympathetically supporting a fairly unique and trustworthy source of astronomical news stories and information links.
